_THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION IN OUR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RANCHO BELAGO FACILITY._

The Operations Business Analyst will conduct global operations analyses, analyzing both monthly financial performance, productivity, and operations key performance indicators. In addition, he/she will develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits. In addition to performing financial and operational modelling, the Operations Business Analyst is expected to develop new models and charts that turn data into profitable business decisions. He/she should recognize that streamlining and improving reporting is key to success of the organization. For this role, we require an individual with at least 5 years experience in financial and operations analysis combined with understanding of operations key performance indicators. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of solving complex and ambiguous problems in a structured way. Strong experience with data visualization software is required (i.e. Microsoft BI, Tableau, Domo, etc.)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

* Analyze Distribution Operations, including budget, P&L, performance and productivity data, error rates and root causes analysis.
* Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently.
* Analyze reports to identify operational issues throughout all departments.
* Conduct ad hoc analyses on various departments.
* Design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions and recommendations to improve performance.
* Manage operational process improvement projects.
* Maintain and publish standard reports for Management team.
* Maintain databases and develop weekly / monthly metrics reports.
* Develop queries and procedures for tracking and managing product from origin to final destination (factory/port/distribution center)
* Work collaboratively with distribution centers to prioritize and control the flow of goods in and out of the DCs
* Compile, analyze, and report status of various performance metrics and specifics programs to senior management
* Prepare ad hoc reporting as required
* Establish and maintain good rapport throughout the organization
* Continually seek ways to innovate and/or to improve productivity and drive cost down
* Ensure continuous improvement through periodic assessment
* Monitor and evaluate progress and outcomes produced by current processes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with record-keeping systems
* Strong knowledge of computer systems and database applications
* Must be detail-oriented with strong mathematical and written abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively to department teams, cross-functional partners, and upper management
* Strong planning skills with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
* Must be able to prioritize work and manage time effectively
* Understand the business operations and principles of retail, wholesale and ECOM business management
* Must be cost-conscious and understand the levers that impact profitability
* Must convey information clearly and concisely
* Must be able to analyze large data sets in a way that can efficiently and succinctly convey a message
* Must be able to work effectively in teams and make meaningful and relevant contributions
* Must be flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs and demands of the business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors degree in business or related field
* Data analytics and modeling experience required
* Strong Excel knowledge required
* Retail, wholesale and ECOM industry operations experience preferred
* PKMS, SQL, Microsoft BI, Tableau or Domo knowledge preferred
