Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Flight Test Engineer. This position will be located in Vandenberg AFB, CA and will support the GBSD program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

• Candidate will work alongside with and potentially lead a team consisting of flight test engineers and technicians responsible for integration, test and checkout of the Integrated Launch Control Center (ILCC) for the program.
• Develop, perform, and document tests, includes test planning, test conduction, data analysis and documenting test results as part of the Flight Test Team
• Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for systems
• Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness and compliance of the test program
• Validate specifications and designs through testing
• Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
• Direct and maintain strict adherence to safe missile component handling procedures
• Help develop, evaluate, and update technical procedures
• Create technical reports and present test and analysis results
• Coordinate integrated testing activities working in a dynamic people-focused environment
• Interface with internal and external customers

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's and at least 3 years of relevant experience; or a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Current DoD Secret clearance awarded within past 6 years
• MS Office tools and Project Management experience
• Demonstrated experience in test planning and test execution

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Computer science or related STEM degree
• Software programming experience
• Top Secret Clearance awarded within the last 6 years
• Master's Degree with 1 year of relevant experience with 3-5 years of flight test experience
• ICBM Flight Test, operations or maintenance experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills; works well in a team environment within all levels of the test integrated team structure.
• Experience leading a team in project execution and/or driving performance against schedule.

Salary Range: 92000 - 138000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
