Summary
The Space Components Division is looking for a dynamic individual who will be a role model for the practice of Northrop Grumman values and the leadership characteristics of competency, connection, character and trust. This position manages supervisors who manage the shop floor personnel. The selected candidate will manage, direct and lead the activities of a cross functional product team responsible for continuous improvements to the cost, quality and schedule of its product line.
In this roll you will have complete responsibility to ensure performance goals are met on a daily basis. Expectations for success will be to develop and maintain open lines of communication to insure high levels of supplier and customer satisfaction, promote the development of self-directed work groups and a work environment which encourages training and opportunities for its work force, ensure compliance to all state, corporate and sector policies related to health, safety, environmental and equal opportunity regulations.

Essential Functions:
Providing direction and coaching to technicians and front line leads in the Space Components Propulsion Team
Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.
Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Manages resolution of complex technical issues within responsible production area and drives quality improvement plans.
Reports and manages daily output while working any constraints that prevent the team from meeting targets.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
1 year of leadership experience
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of related leadership experience
Heat Treat Manufacturing experience
Degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, industrial or manufacturing)
Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present presentations with various levels of leadership
Salary Range: 105600 - 158400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
