Job Details

SUMMARY:
Director of Talent Acquisition manages the recruitment efforts by developing, honing and executing the strategic recruitment plan through effective utilization of recruitment best practices and direction of the recruitment team. Responsible for ensuring effective processes and resources are in place for all phases of the recruitment cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer to qualified candidates. Responsible for introducing "Best in Class" recruitment tools, processes and procedures and delivering a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders, hiring managers, and applicants. Works as a strategic partner with VP of HR and senior management to understand future and current workforce needs.

Licensure and/or Certification Requirements:
  • RACR certification a plus.
  • PHR and/or SPHR certification a plus.

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum Work Experience:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of recruitment experience required.
  • Healthcare recruitment experience required.
  • Proven success in sourcing, screening, interviewing and placement of qualified healthcare candidates, including licensed staff (NPs, PAs, and Physicians).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive hiring results through creative recruiting techniques in a fast-paced environment, including social media postings and advertisement.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with hiring managers and ability to lead and train management regarding staffing practices and processes.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking system(s) required, iCIMS preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service skills including communication and follow-up with hiring managers, candidates, and co-workers.
  • In depth knowledge of California employment law related to recruitment.

Supervisory Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team-building skills.
  • Good managerial skills, which require the ability to effectively manage administrative functions for the Recruitment team.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to delegate to and empower staff effectively.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for developing sourcing and marketing strategies so that our career brand is highlighted.
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the talent acquisition team.
  • Partner with recruiter and hiring managers to fill staffing needs in a timely manner.
  • Develop strategic recruitment methods (both internal and external) and research the most cost-effective and successful methods of sourcing for open positions to ensure a diverse applicant pool.
  • Own the candidate experience from start to hire, including all touchpoints, and streamlining the internal and communications processes ensuring a positive applicant experience for both internal and external applicants.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate staffing metrics to the management team.
  • Develop talent of the team; ensure the team has the competencies and capabilities to adapt to our ever changing, growing business
  • Remain current in all applicable laws, regulatory compliance and standards of practice in the recruitment and employment areas.
  • Responsible for all processes necessary for filling open positions, including but not limited to personnel requisitions, sourcing, screening applications, selecting candidates for interviews, conducting initial interviews, selecting top candidates for consideration by the hiring manager, making employment offers, preparing employment offer letters and scheduling new hires for orientation.
  • Responsible for applicant tracking system and ensuring all pre-employment screening steps are being completed (i.e. application, reference checks, Predictive Index, background checks, etc.).
  • Ensure that internal job postings are updated, current and appealing to candidates to demonstrate best impression of the organization and the position.
  • Regularly evaluates sourcing strategies and the quality of potential candidates to enhance candidate pipelines.
  • Contributes as a subject matter expert to the development of skills in hiring managers through tools and training on interviewing, selection, etc.
  • Stay informed about outside organizations and advertising venues best suited to post the openings.
  • Network with community organizations, professional associations, educational institutions, partnering healthcare organizations, and other recruitment sources.
  • Utilize technology to ensure competitiveness in its recruitment efforts.
  • Develop and deploy strategies for optimizing the recruitment website.
  • Ensure recruitment efforts support the Organization's diversity goals and company culture.
  • Ensure that policies, procedures, processes, forms and records are legally compliant and up to date; including necessary training for all staff involved in interviewing and recruitment processes.
  • Oversee requests for temporary employees and monitor activity usage.
  • Will participate in and support special projects and events as required.
