Title: QC Supervisor, Nutraceuticals

Location: Anaheim, CA

Full time, direct hire opportunity

Quality Control Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists Director of Quality in the planning, coordinating and supervising the activities of the Quality Control section of the Quality Department.
  • Responsible for the supervision of direct reports analytical and microbiology section
  • Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the area of responsibility
  • Creates Raw Material specifications and test documents
  • Reviews and approves Finished Product test reports
  • Initiates deviations and change control when required
  • Creates and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to Quality Control
  • Assists in the review and approval of investigations and responses to complaints
  • Conducts investigations concerning operational problems and/or problems involving customer complaints
  • Schedules and coordinates work assignments of employees
  • Plans and sets goals and objectives for direct reports
  • Conducts cGMP, SOP and on-the-job training of section personnel Initiates disciplinary actions and investigates incidents when required
  • Conducts and documents job performance appraisal

Work Experience/Qualifications:

  • 1- 3 years experience in quality control leadership role preferably in the nutraceutical industry.
  • Experience managing a department of 3 or more people
  • Experience in preparing, hosting, and responding to regulatory agencies and client audits
  • Proven experience in conducting internal and external audits
  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment and be able to deal with multiple critical tasks/issues

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
