Dole Packaged Foods is looking for a motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead various human resources functions at our manufacturing plant location in Atwater, California. The HR Manager will also provide support to two other manufacturing plants in the U.S. (Michigan and Georgia). Responsibilities
* Develops recruiting plan and oversees recruitment effort and processes for all levels of associates and temporary associates for assigned requisitions.
* Bridges management and associate relations by addressing concerns, grievances, or other issues; assist management with performance development and management, and performance review process.
* Provide guidance to leadership in interpretation of company policies, state and federal labor laws and company procedures/programs.
* Recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains "handbook" on policies and procedures.
* Lead plant compliance with labor law and reporting requirements including, EEO, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, DOL, DFEH and OSHA.
* Develops new hire orientation materials; responsible for compliance related training including harassment prevention; conducts exit interviews and makes recommendations based on information collected.
* Develops reports and metrics for various human resources functions; utilizes data to make recommendations.
* Lead, plan, and manage plant organization analysis, process improvement and change management for maximum effectiveness and employee engagement.
* Manage leaves of absence with third party vendor and, in coordination with payroll, manages unemployment claim administration and management with third party vendor.
* Manage, coach and develop Plant HR staff
* Ensures federal and state legal compliance in all areas of Human Resources, including maintenance of required labor posters remain ensuring they are up-to-date with federal and state labor laws.
* Develop a high impact "employment brand" to promote the organization as an employer of choice.
* Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.

Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:
* 5-7+ years progressive human resources experience including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and policy development
* Experience in a plant manufacturing environment preferred
* HR experience in the state of California strongly preferred
* Strong and demonstrated understanding of payroll and benefits administration and processes
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of labor law and HR best practices
* Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
* Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Education & Certification:
* Bachelor's degree
* PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.
Travel Requirements:
* Occasional travel may be required
