Our direct client is a World's Leading River Cruise Line and they are looking to hire a Business Analyst.

Location: Woodland Hills. Locals only. Remote during covid, not 100% remote. Will resume on-site after the pandemic.

This is a full-time permanent role. The Client will not sponsor any visa for this position.. Might have to go to the office to work some times right on the first day. Some are already working onsite at Woodland Hills, California. Locals only.

Job Description:

The Business Analyst will be focused on delivering optimized experiences as part of the Reservations Technology team. You will partner with diverse teams such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Air, Yield, and Digital.

You will be responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, technological risks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting Senior Product Managers on larger more complex projects. You will interview stakeholders, write agile stories, guide the development team on-shore and off-shore, where applicable.

The ideal candidate will be able to leverage the knowledge of agile methodology and have experience with all levels of software development best practices, site functionality, engagement best practices, eCommerce, user-centered design principles, analytics-driven decision making, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Translate high-level requirements into user stories/detailed business and technical requirements
• Work as a liaison between business and delivery teams in all phases of development from product definition to deployment
• Perform feasibility analysis, (scope projects, prioritize deliverables), recommend alternative solutions and project strategies, and engage in negotiations
• Prioritizes features, enhancements, and optimizations that provide business benefits or meet prioritized strategic goals by leveraging user-centric design principles, integrated customer feedback, technology, and business priorities, understanding customer touchpoints, and considers broader market trends.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at anytime
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and meeting all project deliverables as planned
• Demonstrate good communication and relationship skills with Business Teams and External Vendors
• Provide support to QA Team and Business Users during QA and UAT phase of the projects

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of business analysis experience working on Agile software development efforts

• Experience in Jira, Confluence
• Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
• Must have strong project management, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
• Able to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Good decision making and problem-solving ability
• Works well in teams and has the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
