Job description

The Internal Auditor II will assist the Internal Audit Department support SeaSpine Management accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the risk management, control, and governance processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Apply knowledge of the technical accounting and financial reporting standards in adherence with GAAP and the PCAOB
* Evaluate internal controls, propose enhancements, investigate the root cause of internal control weaknesses, ensure appropriate action plans are developed and monitored
* Perform effective risk and control assessments resulting in the identification of key risks and controls, controls optimization, and process improvements
* Complete audit tasks on time and of high quality with limited rework/revisions
* Verbalize and draft both effective written and verbal communication that is both clear and concise
* Recommend improvements to existing controls
* Assist with the remediation of identified control weaknesses
* Document business processes using flowcharts and/or narratives
* Foster strategic and collaborative relationships with business partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems
* 1 + years of professional experience
* Knowledge of internal control principles (e.g. COSO), financial and operational processes, risks, and IT general controls is required
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organization skills
* Flexible and self-directed worker with ability to stay focused and meet goals, while working independently
* Multi-tasking skills and ability to remain effective and patient under pressure
* Proficient using MS Office programs (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

* Manufacturing experience
* ERP Application Software, Oracle EB Suite experience a plus
