ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Sr. Business Analyst on the prAna Information Systems team, you'll collaborate with business partners, systems engineers, and systems and reporting analysts to develop new applications and improve upon existing applications.
You'll be responsible for capturing business requirements, documenting business processes, building and executing test cases to validate solutions, and performing end-user training. This position will also work closely with our Information Technology team to translate business requirements into implementable solutions.
This position works on a broad array of platforms within the prAna landscape, including our ERP system, Reporting and Data Warehouse solutions, and other in-house and third-party applications that support our internal and externally facing solutions.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Work with stakeholders to understand and capture requirements, relaying that information to the technical team through functional specifications
- Create materials such as Business Requirements documents and other project artifacts
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements through collaboration with business and GIS partners
- Perform functional unit testing
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholders
- Work with stakeholders to write and provide end-user training
- Provide production support of current systems as scheduled or as required
- Communicate analysis and results to business, GIS partners, and management
- Manage small to medium-sized projects, developing project plans, and monitoring deliverables
- Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncover areas for improvement and develop and implement solutions
- Update, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures
YOU ARE
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a n ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and manage projects or project activities
- Proven experience in capturing business requirements
- A high level of proficiency in creating functional specification and business process documentation
- Strong written, verbal, and graphical communications skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively
- Good organization, planning and prioritizing skills and demonstrates the ability to establish a course of action for self and others to accomplish specific goals, objectives, project objectives; establishes follow up systems and feedback mechanisms to monitor projects
YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's in computer engineering, computer science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server databases
- 5-8 years relevant experience in implementing/supporting business and systems processes, preferably in the apparel and/or retail industry
- Experience with an ERP system such as Full Circle
- Experience in providing end-user training
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence preferred or similar tools
- An understanding of Software development life cycle (SDLC)
- The ability to capture requirements and deliver solutions in BI Reporting and PowerApps applications
