Tatum by Randstad is working with a California Alternative Energy company focused on Alternative Energy, primarily Solar Power. The company is in growth mode and looking to add an Asset Manager. The ideal person would have a Financial/Accounting background with strong knowledge of alternative energy, primarily solar. The ideal person would have 1. Strong Tax Reporting Knowledge 2. Compliance Experience 3. Experience to help with process and procedures
The Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the commercial obligations and profitability of the assigned physical assets under contract by the Company and/or its customers, including revenue assurance, insurance, contracts management, operations and maintenance controls, performance, reporting and optimization. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and recommending asset optimization strategies to enhance the financial performance of the assigned assets, managing relationships with Company service providers and customers related to assigned assets, as well as other assigned duties.

Responsibilities :
- Managing the assets and maximizing the value of the assets.
- Participating in the implementation a business plan that meets the objectives of the project structure and contracts for each of the assigned assets.
- Optimizing all elements of the assigned assets commensurate with the appropriate risk profile.
- Monitoring and analyzing the key financial performance indicators of the project and reporting to relevant business partners.
- Where Tax Equity investors are involved in individual assets, manage the calculation, tracking and, reporting required under the terms of those respective agreements.
- Manage Power Marketing efforts as required by the individual assets including managing off-take agreements (PPA's), the scheduling entities utilized for energy trading scenarios and the tracking and reporting of these transactions.
- Represent the asset's interest at the project level to assure maximum profitability and return on investment including participation in the schedule and budget processes.
- Maintain thorough awareness of technical, commercial, and financial issues related to assigned assets including appropriately timed visits to the projects and financial partners.
- Assure timely reporting of operational performance results by project personnel and manage the weekly, monthly and, quarterly reporting required under each O&M Agreement.
- Manage the internal review process to report on the current and forecast performance of investment.
- Provide support to project staff if needed to resolve appropriate project, regulatory, contractual, or commercial issues.
- Assure awareness of corporate operations personnel of any project level problem that may affect project performance.
- Participate in project & customer meetings, conferences, and discussions to assure active involvement in the projects' affairs.
- Demonstrable knowledge of renewable energy assets, life-cycle analysis, operational requirements, safety, and compliance requirements: effective management practices, including labor relations: planning, budgeting and financial assessment.
- Skilled in negotiating and administering contracts and agreements, budget preparation, economics, and finance.
qualifications:
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance. Strong Engineering knowledge would be highly desired.
- Asset Management within a solar/renewable focused company would be preferred
- MBA degree (preferred).
- Strong Tax Reporting and compliance knowledge required
- 5 years of energy commodity and/or technical experience along with at least 3 years of asset management experience.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Exceptional ability to build and manage relationships.
- Knowledge of SAP, Excel, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO and other RTO/ISO markets.
This is an in office/onsite position and NOT remote. The company would be open to offering relocation to the right candidate. Also willing to support short-term remote before relocation.
Compensation $140-160K. Bonus target 15% of base salary.
