Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing the Business Development Specialist is responsible for developing business from prospecting new business, following up on marketing leads, as well as expanding business from the company's existing client base. Position Summary:
The Business Development Specialist must be comfortable with cold-calling and will be responsible for all cold calling/developing new business leads. Experience in IT Hardware Sales is a Plus.
You will be responsible for helping to grow the Company by identifying and contacting decision makers at potential new target clients, researching leads, establishing relationships with potential clients, communicating the Company's value proposition and services, identifying areas of opportunity, and arranging appointments for more detailed conversations with our sales leaders and other company executives.
The goal for this successful candidate is to help add additional manufacturers to our portfolio of clients we are representing on the Amazon marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Duties include outbound calling, e-mail, social media and text communication and overall management of sales pipeline through the sales cycle
- Manage cultivation of inbound sales inquiries to convert leads to appointments
- Rigorously prospect for new business and follow up with target leads
- Keeping complete notes and tracking in your CRM
- Identifies ideas by researching industry and related events publications, and announcements
- Discovers, research and contacts potential client opportunities
- Attempts to better understand potential client's needs and goals
- Enhances organization's reputation by representing the Company professionally and knowledgeably
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems
- Identifying and researching opportunities that come up in new and existing markets
- Attain weekly and monthly assigned quota of outbound lead generation activities
- CRM usage, must enter all activities with prospects and customers
Qualifications / Skills/ Qualities:
- Past achievement in new and expanded client business in the IT industry is a plus
- Extremely strong phone skills: Ability to set meetings and appointments over the phone
- Must have excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
- Is dynamic, articulate, and well-spoken
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
- Desire to achieve sales goals

- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to use or quickly learn CRM and marketing/lead technologies
