Job description

We are looking for a Social Media Assistant / Associate who lives and breathes social media and has a strong passion for pursuing social media as a career path.

What You'll Be Doing

* Work closely with Social Media Community Coordinator to complete day-to-day tasks for our social media platforms.
* Schedule and manage weekly briefed content across all social media channels.
* Publish approved designs and content to our channels for each brand using our social media publishing tool.
* Assisting the social team to create on-the-spot social content for our brands: snack-able videos and product photography.
* Manage all third-party social pages on Facebook. This includes working closely with the Localization managers to meet content needs for the eSalon brand.
* Work closely with the customer service team to moderate communication with our customers on social media platforms. This includes comments, posts, questions and direct messages. Report back key learnings from these discussions.
* Contribute to ongoing creative and brainstorming discussions for new social media content.
* Work with the Colorist team to identify hair color shades and formulas within weekly social media content.
* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must Haves

* Bachelors Degree in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Communication, Advertising or related field preferred.
* 2+ years of professional experience in social media marketing and content creation.
* Well-versed in social media. Strong knowledge of the latest tech features and trends.
* Strong familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest.
* Experience with and true passion for hands-on content creation of social media assets (smartphone).
* Intermediate video editing skills for TikTok, Reels, and IGTV.
* Photography skills with knowledge of product styling, flat lays, lighting, and framing (smartphone).
* Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (written and spoken).
* Strong organizational skills.
* Great time-management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a face-paced, creative environment.
* Experience with social management and publishing platforms such as Dash Hudson, Plann, Sprout Social, Canva.
* Position requires to be in the El Segundo office or on a set in the LA County area at least once a month.
