Job Summary:

The Regional Manager of Revenue Strategy will report to theRegional Director of Revenue Strategy. The Regional Manager of Revenue Strategy is responsible for successfully managing and overseeing all revenue management efforts for key Marriott properties. This position will monitor demand trends, booking pattern, pace and market conditions, which are to be translated into total hotel revenue management strategies, used to realize the maximum amount of revenue for each hotel, achieve revenue goals and grow market share, whilst being extremely cognizant of the hotel's brand.Please note this jobis open to be based in either Irvine, California or Tempe, Arizona.

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:


    -Proactively manage inventory for the hotels to maximize revenue in all areas including Rooms, Function Space, and F&B.
    -Ensure a consistent and rational hotel pricing and yield strategy across all channels and all segments according to the company's pricing philosophy is set.
    -Accurately prepare Monthly and Weekly Forecasts (DayXDay) for all transient segments, group (based on feedback from Sales/Conference Services.)
    -Participate in the preparations of the transient and group rooms budgets, with the input of sales and contribute to the development of the transient and group portion of the hotel's marketing plan.
    -Proactively provide data to the team for the purpose of analyzing and evaluating specific business segments, specific accounts, market segment mix (Group vs. Transient and its sub-segments), room type demand, channel production and geographical mix, recognizing trends and patterns.
    -Proactively analyze and communicate business trends and booking pace to revenue team in comparison to the market, last year, forecast and budget.
    -Continually analyze transient demand, price sensitivity and booking patterns, recognize trends and their relevance to one another and provide pricing, inventory and selling strategy recommendations.
    -Regularly share and discuss analytical findings and strategies with VP, Sales & Marketing.
    -Assist in providing recommendations for Corporate and Leisure account strategies based on past production and future expectations.
    -Assist in developing 3-month, 6-month, and 12-months strategic action plans for the management of transient revenues.
    -Work with the Sales Department and define booking terms, conditions and allotments for all transient and Group segments.
    -Work with Group Sales and Catering to define space release polices, catering minimums, etc.
    -Maintain accurate information on all corporate and property promotions and packages.
    -Evaluate Weekly and Monthly Market Share reports to understand trends and opportunities vs. competitive set and the market as a whole and ensure targeted relative RevPar positioning is achieved.
    -Train relevant team members on key areas of revenue and yield management.
    -Communicate the hotel's selling strategies effectively to Sales & Marketing colleagues.
    -Effectively use systems (PMS, CRS, RMS) to determine, implement, manage and control accurate and agreed upon selling strategies.
    -Effectively collaborate with Sales and Marketing in driving digital marketing and sales initiatives.

Job Requirements:

    -5+ years minimum of hotel industry Revenue Management experience; 3 year minimum of experience with Marriott Revenue Management Systems is required. Those who do not possess direct, related Marriott Revenue Management experience will not be considered at this time.
    -Certified in Marriott One Yield Version 2
    -System Knowledge of MARSHA, MRDW, High Performance Pricing, Mar-RFP & EFAST.
    -Experienced in the use of current web-based business intelligence tools to include Demand 360, Agency 360 and OTA Insight/Rate 360.
    -Must possess solid communication and presentation skills. Ownership presentation skills a plus.
    -Profitsage Experience a Plus.
    -Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or related field.
    -Superior knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
    -Extensive knowledge of IDEAS revenue management system, GDS and third-party distribution channels.
    -Experienced in the use of current web-based business intelligence tools.
