About the Opportunity:

As an Ops Trainer, you will be the primary facilitator and point person for your team's new hire onboarding program. But you won't be without support! You will work closely with the Athena Ops Learning team and your fellow trainers to develop training plans and update content to ensure that all new hires have a strong onboarding experience.

Ops Trainers will:
  • Create onboarding schedules for new hires
  • Advise new hires on e ffectively utilize Lessonly and other learning resources
  • Coordinate shadowing and reverse shadowing
  • Facilitate group learning activities
  • Work with the Learning Team and Operations leaders to identify areas for improvement, and help create solutions

Note that t he role may evolve as we continue to build out our onboarding program !

What makes someone a good candidate for this role?

While our Ops Trainers will receive ongoing coaching and development, we believe strong candidates are proficient in the following areas:
  • Subject Matter Knowledge: A proficient understanding of Athena Operations, each function's mission and basic workflows, and an in-depth understanding of their specific function's role and responsibilities
  • Facilitation Skills: Can effectively lead learning experiences for diverse audience s
  • Culture Leadership: Demonstrates States Title's core values in all their interactions; can facilitate strong, inclusive culture-building experiences
  • Coaching and Developing Others: Can coach others to success through relationship building, guidance, and support interventions

Job Summary:
  • Own , manage, and facilitate department - specific new hire onboarding program
  • Work closely with the Learning team and fellow trainers to revise onboarding, making it efficient and effective through high quality learning experiences and interventions
  • Support continuing education programs as needed for department-specific learning priorities
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the knowledge management system(s)
  • Partner with department managers and supervisors to understand and increase quality and efficiency
  • Create a softer landing for associates through nesting, coaching, and ongoing learning
  • Be a voice and advocate for the company, culture, and overall desire to create a great place to work
  • Assist with the testing and implementation of new products to the Athena Operations organization.

About You:
  • 6+ months working in current role within Athena Ops
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong at building relationships; experience coaching and developing others is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and adapt according to business needs.
  • Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, and legal documents
  • Passion for process improvement
  • Proficient computer skills and presentation software (PowerPoint, Slides, etc)
  • Balancing technology, information, processes, and individual and organizational learning within a culture of shared values
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong at partnering with others, particularly across functions and different aspect of the business
  • Bonus: Experience processing files in ResWare
