*** THIS IS FOR A HYBRID POSITION. The role must be able to commute to the headquarters in Lake Forest through out the week, but may be performed partially remote.

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Supevisor: CEO

Schedule: 7-3:30 PM Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $50,000-$65,000K

All of our products are designed, tested and manufactured in the US.

Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing and managing all HR functions including payroll and benefits administration, recruiting and onboarding, terminations, and performance management.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review timecards and process multi-state payroll for employees and contractors
  • Administer benefits plans (Health/dental/vision/HSA/FSA/401K), this includes enrolling/terminating employees from plans, uploading benefits deductions, working with Accounting/Payroll/Insurance brokers)
  • Perform full-cycle recruiting activities for all positions including warehouse, sales, admin, engineers, manufacturing personnel
  • Oversee the performance review process (quarterly/annually)
  • Employee Performance Management, counseling/designing performance improvement plans, succession planning, employee career pathways, advising on promotions/terminations
  • Lead the onboarding/orientation process for all new hires including all regulatory reporting
  • Lead the offboarding process for terminations including paperwork processing and final paychecks
  • Oversee training & development initiatives, maintain training records and ensure employees meet all training requirements
  • Oversee Insurance renewals/Workers comp
  • Act as safety manager
  • Act as office manager/perform other duties as needed

Education & Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience in an HR generalist or similar role
  • SHRM or PHR certifications highly preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Tech Savvy, able to learn, use and train others on different software easily
  • HIGH level of emotional intelligence- able to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and create a safe space for them to communicate
  • Able to work independently- HR Department of one
  • Self-starter, go getter personality
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written/verbally, also able to communicate effectively with colleagues who speak English as a Second Language
  • Experience using Gusto/Employee Navigator would be nice to have

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
