Facility Grocery Shopper

Job description

Under the direction of the Administrator and/or Facility Manager, the grocery shopper performs the following functions:

1. Shops for each Antelope Valley facility 1 or 2 facilities at a time

2. Determines when each facility would like their groceries picked up

3. Goes to the AV Corporate office to pick up the company truck

4. Goes to the facility to print off the grocery list and attain the facility VISA card

5. Walks around the kitchen to verify if any grocery items were missed from the list

6. Goes to the grocery store and accurately picks items in from the list, replacing out of stock items with reasonable replacements

7. Purchases items with facility credit card

8. Sorts the items as needed

9. Delivers the items to the facility

10. Assists with labelling packages and putting the food in the refrigerator, freezer, or cabinet

11. Returns the truck to the AV Corporate office and gives Ms. Mallory the grocery receipts

12. Repeats steps 4-10 for all four facilities

13. Helps improve operations as needed. Contributes ideas to improve our quality of care

14. Ensures quality results and all expectations are met

15. Performs the tasks efficiently and effectively with accuracy

16. Leads by example in all facets of program execution

17. Represents Dimondale and its facilities in a professional manner at all times

18. Attends staff training sessions as required and as schedule

Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 21 years old.

2. Must be physically and mentally fit to perform all duties.

3. Must have a criminal record clearance and child abuse index clearance, required.

4. Must have valid driver's license, required.

5. Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing to residents, other staff and to the general public.

6. Must have CPR/First Aid Certificate.

7. Must have effective communication, problem solving, and decision making skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
