The Data Analyst is responsible for effectively and professionally collecting and storing data related to production numbers, delivery, productivity, or other behaviors. This role brings technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of data, and the ability to then process, design, and present it in ways to help people, businesses, and organizations make better decisions.
This position is part of manufacturing and operations activities located in Lodi, CA; hybrid/remote role(s) are possible.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Mine and interpret technical data sets and influence manufacturing decisions based on the results
- Summarize trends using visual management tools
- Handle master data, including creation, updates, and deletion
- Provide quality assurance of imported data and work with quality assurance analysts as necessary; commission and decommission data sets
- Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years work experience as a data analyst, or in a related field, OR minimum 5 years relevant work experience
- Must be able review large data sets quickly and identify issues that impact manufacturing
- Proficient in methodologies and processes for running large-scale databases -- Advanced Excel experience is a must
- Must be focused, organized and attentive to detail; ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and exhibit a positive, can-do attitude
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (with 0-2 years related experience)
- Experience with visual data management tools, e.g. Power BI and/or Minitab
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or within manufacturing operations
- General understanding of molecular biology or molecular diagnostic products
