The job

Develop solutions including creating reports and databases using technical expertise in SQL, Access, Tableau, Alteryx, etc. Act as subject matter expert and liaison to Shared Services and Business stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements.

You will

  • Utilize MS SQL Server, Access, and Excel to obtain data and present findings to end users.

  • Utilize analytical tools like Tableau and Alteryx to create workflow and data visualizations.

  • Create and review automated processes using SQL, stored procedures, and functions to facilitate and monitor quality assurance and data accuracy.

  • Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.

  • Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure requirements are clearly understood.

  • Utilize understanding of the business issues and data challenges in order to implement successful process and policy updates.

  • Provide regulatory and ad-hoc reporting.

  • Manage milestones and deliverables of complex Business and Shared Services projects in support of Business production by monitoring deadlines and communicating effectively.

  • Function as a resource and assist with escalated issues and tasks, as needed.

  • Lead implementation efforts. Develop implementation plans. Define test conditions and scenarios and develops accurate and complete test plans. Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. Communicate needed changes to development team.

  • Adhere to SDLC and change control procedures.

  • Work closely with Business, IT and other Shared Services departments to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.

  • Partner with other departments to provide technical support and knowledge related to projects and system enhancements.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Your qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 5+ years of data analysis experience in the healthcare industry, preferably specific to claims data.

  • Requires experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio writing SQL code and building stored procedures and functions.

  • Experience with change control and version required.

  • Data modeling experience is preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Access, SQL, and Excel skills.

  • Tableau, Alteryx skills are preferred.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of technical design specifications.

  • Demonstrated understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.

  • Ability to facilitate effective team interaction.
