Job Description:

Join a leader in Claims Management! We are growing! If you are looking to join a team where your talents and experience can make an impact, come talk to us. We are looking for an Auto Property Damage Adjuster to join our team. This position is remote and you can work from anywhere in the continental United States.

This property damage claims adjuster position will proactively work files with the focus on early and appropriate settlement. The adjuster will be tasked with processing auto property damage claims within the claims handling guidelines as outlined by the company. The adjuster will review coverage and determine liability to properly assess the potential exposure on the claim. The adjuster will document the findings of the investigation and based on said findings will deny or settle and authorize payments for claims based on the evaluation of the potential exposure and value of the claim.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Investigate and process insurance claims filed by policyholders or claimants
  • Handle and process property damage claims in a variety of states
  • Verify that coverage applies for the loss
  • Interview claimant and witnesses to gather pertinent information.
  • Examine photographs and statements
  • Record pertinent claims related data and statements within the claims file notes
  • Evaluate all information to determine how claim should be handled
  • Negotiate with claimant or their representative to settle claim
  • Complete litigation referral process in the event that negotiations fail to resolve a claim
  • Issue payments to resolve the claims
  • Identify subrogation potential in each claim and take appropriate steps to subrogate damages from at fault parties
  • Identify fraud indicators and refer those instances for special investigation
  • Identify exposures and analyze large losses over $100,000 in value utilizing the required reporting format
  • Analyze reports to identify trends and propose appropriate interventions
  • Some traveling for local mediation, MSC and trial hearings, as required


POSITION REQUIREMENTS


· 1-2 years auto and/or commercial auto property damage adjusting experience

· A strong attention to detail

· Excellent customer service skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

· Desire to work in a team environment

· Familiarity with basic computer platforms; i.e. Outlook, Xcel, Word, etc.

· Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred but not required

· Present State licensing or the ability to pursue licensing as required is a must


Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift and/or move objects. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; use hands and fingers to grasp, perform repetitive motions; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, lift and feel. This job requires the employee to have close visual acuity.
