ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Development Coordinator provides support for the development team for a variety of fundraising initiatives. This role entails a high volume of phone calls and email correspondence and requires excellent donor relations skills. Successful candidates will possess a background in donor relations, be fluent in Microsoft Office and basic database applications, possess strong attention to detail, and have the ability to confidently and diplomatically articulate the organization's needs and logistical capabilities when interacting with donors and volunteers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Fundraising Programs: Manage the Food Bank's P2P Programs by assisting with the creation of fundraising pages in the designated platform, providing troubleshooting, answering donor questions and motivating fundraising teams. Develop strategies to increase revenue from the P2P Program. Cultivate relationships with and steward all P2P fundraisers, including potential high-dollar fundraisers (i.e. corporate brands, top creators/influencers, Esports Teams, etc.).
Traditional Food Drives: Coordinate traditional food drives including overseeing food drive box orders and scheduling food drive pickups with the Operations team. Cultivate and steward food drive donors, including generating thank you receipts for food drive donors. Develop strategies to transition food drive donors to P2P fundraisers.
Department Support: Provide support to the Development team, including assistance with mailings, processing invoices, and resource gathering for fundraising appeals. Provide excellent customer service and relationship management by responding promptly to a high volume of donor calls and emails. Regularly update procedure documentation, record, track and report on food drives and P2P campaigns, including providing Inventory Control with required orders and reports in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in a non-profit/development environment is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
* Experience with customer service.
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel and Word.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
* Able to handle multiple tasks and appropriately prioritize.
* Self-starter who is able to take initiative and work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to maintain excellent quantity and quality of work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
