The Director, Property Tax Management works directly with the US Offshore Business Partner, Property Tax Compliance to deliver on India operations and allocation of India resources.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results
People:
- Supervise & manage a team of Direct reports, Team Leads/Asst. Manager's / Managers / Sr. Managers for PT Compliance and Property Tax Shared Team operations groups as per assignment
- Motivate employees to provide process improvement ideas, make sure all ideas given are closed: either implemented or rejected (if not feasible in the current environment) Provide opportunities to individuals giving ideas to Lead the projects
- Assist in the hiring and training of high-quality staff.
Client:
- Review weekly performance reports on productivity & quality with Senior Managers, Team Leaders, and Managers.
- The Director will work with the Offshore Business Partner and the US/India liaison to develop and coordinate strategic initiatives.
- The Director will work with Ryan business units, Offshore Business Partner, US/India liaison, and functional managers to support operational management and development needs of India resources.
- Work with India & US employees to ensure smooth transition of business processes as and when required.
- Ensure customer focus by meeting production targets through timeliness and quality compliance.
- Work with management and staff in finding solutions to issues raised by US counterparts, deliver on ICS scores. Focus & reduce quality issues.
- Lead, drive, support or execute Annual/Quarterly/Monthly/Weekly calls with Offshore Business Partner, US/India liaison, US counterparts and India staff as & when required.
- Consolidate management reports including weekly performance reports.
- Add value by identifying opportunities to improve process and initiate action to implement these (where appropriate) to deliver the highest possible level of customer service with the highest possible efficiency. Own quality improvement efforts and Projects.
- Lead projects based on Efficiency. Productivity, Quality and removal of non-value-added work, reduction of turnaround time, lead time etc.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers across to make sure we have at least one Value Stream Map project per Quarter with a proper closure.
Value:
- Work to increase India leverage regarding US workflow
- Work to manage and control India margins
- Plan appropriate resource allocation and utilization to cater for seasonal peaks and troughs
- Oversee as required day to day operational activities for India PT Management
- Report and communicate the results of process improvement initiatives on a monthly basis in the Monthly Operations Dashboard meeting
- Roll out Quarterly Newsletters on best projects and significant achievements
- Prepare detailed project plans and ensure timely completion of projects, make sure accountability is appropriately assigned to Project Lead
- Ensure deployment of common solutions across various process and businesses
- Deliver significant operational improvement or financial benefits to meet annual targets of productivity across India Operations employee strength
- Monitor performance and improvement in key performance metrics, seek long term/short solutions to improve status quo
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Postgraduate in Business Management-Finance. Domain knowledge of Property Tax & at least 12 to 15 years of experience in Operations, business process improvements, stakeholder management, people practices/management & experience in Taxation domain.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is having supervisory responsibilities. Directly supervises employees in their practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firms' policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment:
- 50+ hour standard workweek requirement.
