We are currently seeking a Freelance Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. Please note, the ideal candidate for this job must be able to confidently estimate as well as manage a commercial construction project.

This position maintains the potential for full time work (including eligibility for benefits) based on volume.

Commercial Construction Experience / Requirements

• Must have commercial construction experience and trade knowledge including ability to read and comprehend blueprints at the expert level and estimate both jobs and plans.
• Ability to organize details, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• You must be able to work both alone and as a team.

Estimating Experience Requirements

• Accurately determine hours, material, special conditions, subs required management time etc. to produce a given budget for a job.
• Organize an estimate in a professional and attractive manner using Microsoft Word or Excel.
• Maintain communication and commitments with clients, architects, and engineers.
• Present yourself in a professional, confident and knowledgeable manner to clients.
• Knowledge of general building codes and the building permit process.
• Develop working relationships with subs and vendors for the purpose of gathering prices.
• Ensure price is as low as possible and the sub or vendor is dependable and meets our requirements.
• Contact vendors and suppliers. Ensure material is available, on time.

Project Management Experience Requirements

• Ensure projects are completed efficiently, cost effectively and on time.
• Ensure all billing for completed projects is complete and processed in a timely manner.
• Manage foremen / superintendents as necessary.
• Manage subcontractors, schedules and quality of work.
• Manage and take responsibility for job site safety, eliminate or safeguard against jobsite hazards.
• Provide constant communication with clients, subs, supers, and your team members at LE Waters Construction.
• Ensure projects comply with all applicable local, state and federal building codes.
• Coordinate and schedule labor needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction Estimating: 4 years (Preferred)
• Construction management: 4 years (Preferred)
