Investment Banking Associate

Location: Los Angeles


Our client, a highly esteemed investment banking firm, is seeking an Investment Banking Associate. The ideal candidate will support key senior investment professionals and gain valuable experience conducting business development and the sale of private placements to accredited investors, family offices and institutional investors. The incoming Associate will be deeply involved throughout the business development and placement process and have significant client exposure as well as visibility with senior members throughout the firm.


Responsibilities

• Work in direct support of Senior Managing Director in execution of private placement transactions

• Support phases of managing the engagement process from initial prospecting to pitching and placement through transaction completion

• Partner with senior bankers to support ongoing business development efforts, including pitch books, target identification, participation in calling programs and industry specific research

• Perform financial analysis, research, writing and presentation preparation necessary for business development and engagement execution

• Expand on existing network of high net worth individuals, family offices, private equity and venture capital firms, as well as investment bankers


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial analysis environment; investment banking and past private placement experience strongly preferred

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit, team-oriented and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines

• Ability to communicate analytical and marketing data effectively

• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to interface with top-level executives

• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of team in fast-paced, remote work environment
