The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Los Angeles branch, has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst. This role seeks an individual ready to provide analytical strength in distribution of US currency and coin to financial institutions (FI) on behalf of the Federal Reserve Bank in the southern California and Nevada regions while servicing FIs in Asia and Mexico.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm
Core Responsibilities:
- Use complex and/or broad data analysis to support decisions on group operations, strategic planning, and business issues
- Collect, model, analyze, and interpret complex and/or broad data; identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
- Develop forecasts, insights, recommendations, future needs, and strategic and/or tactical plans based on business data and knowledge of business processes/operations
- Prepare and evaluate new or alternative business workflows; participate on and may lead implementation of those workflows
- Partner with key stakeholders, sometimes including external parties, to assess and address internal needs and to model the outcome of potential business strategies
- Participate on and may lead team projects/programs to address business issues; project manage ongoing initiatives via meeting management, document organization, and follow ups. Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure successful project/program completion.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze solution metrics to ensure business satisfaction; determines and executes corrective action as necessary
Additional Responsibilities:
- May design or deliver training and training materials to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide support to internal operation units as needed
- Create specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and required or available data elements
- Provide consultation and guidance to management and employees
- Research external best practices and suitability for internal application
Desired Experience:
- Typically requires 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience working independently to complete projects
- Experience collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting complex data to drive business decisions
- Ability to work cross-functionally to meet internal and/or external stakeholder needs
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Project management experience a plus
- Proficiency in visualization software (e.g., Tableau)
- Proficiency in Access, SQL, databases or similar
