CAREERLINK PRESENTS.... The role of MANAGER, TALENT ACQUISITION
A 59 year old California-bred and based coffee and tea specialty retailer with newly acquired global funding, who is laser-focused on becoming the number 2 coffee/tea retailer in the world (I kid you not - THE WORLD!!) is diligently searching for a Talent Acquisition Manager who will not only bring their own excitement to this endeavor but be responsible for executing strategy for talent recruitment and acquisition across multi-site locations; will manage the on-going talent assessment program, the interview and on-boarding process as well as manage the employment 'life cycle' of our Team Members.
( PLEASE NOTE: We are currently only considering candidates from the Los Angeles area - and the expectation is that this person come into the office a few days per week)
This position is responsible for:

  • Developing a comprehensive recruitment strategy that includes use of social media, job postings, job boards, Internet, community job fairs, and other contemporary recruitment methods
  • Manage the employment life-cycle of Team Members, including initial assessments, interviews, job offers, on-boarding, new hire orientation, talent assessment, promotions and exit interviews
  • Partner with the organization's hiring manager(s) to assist with all recruitment needs
  • Partner with the Regional HR Managers, Retail Operations, to provide talent acquisition resources and support
  • Through the Talent Assessment process, identify and source appropriate talent for open positions within the Company
  • Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals with hiring and employment data, including weekly reporting on open jobs
  • Deliver monthly "Selecting the Best" training program for manager and supervisors on how to conduct effective interviews
  • Create and manage a Company Intern Program, utilizing local Universities and other referred students
  • Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the acquisition process
What you need to bring to the table:
  • BA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Human Resource Management with focus on Talent Acquisition
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven success in management of Talent Assessment Programs
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Adaptable to serve as a Team Leader as well as an effective Team Member
  • Proficiency on Microsoft Office required
  • Lawson and ADP proficiency preferred
  • Must be diverse with responsibilities and take on miscellaneous HR projects when needed
