Summary of Job:

The Talent Acquisition Partner, University is responsible for building our university recruiting program from the ground up while cultivating relationships with top universities. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for all university representatives and will organize and lead formal campus recruiting events. You will also be responsible for all early-career employer branding efforts in collaboration with the Employer Branding team. You will collaborate with the engineering Talent Acquisition Team on managing the full-cycle recruiting process for early-career candidates. You will also be responsible for designing and launching an internship program. Finally, early-career recruiting is an important pillar of our diversity recruiting efforts, so you will be responsible for developing relationships with diverse campus organizations and driving diversity university recruiting initiatives.

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a strategic role in the growth of ZipRecruiter's teams, particularly in engineering. You will partner with managers and executives to understand their hiring needs and use data, market knowledge, and past experiences to influence the successful delivery of them. You will also be supported by and add to our collaborative, innovative, and team-first culture.

Focus areas:

  • Develop our university recruiting strategy: Identify target universities and on-campus organization for initial program build out (initial focus will be on engineering recruitment)
  • Cultivate relationships with university career centers, student organizations, and professors
  • Manage the planning and logistics of campus recruiting events such a meet & greets, tech talks, and information sessions
  • Align university recruiting strategy with hiring criteria for engineering teams
  • Design and execute employer branding campaigns for early-career talent, including managing vendors, in collaboration with Employer Branding team
  • Collaborate with the Employer Branding team more broadly: distribution and audience-building for tech blog, identifying conferences for sponsorship or engineering/product team participation, engage engineering/product team in amplifying ZipRecruiter's employer branding through social media and speaking engagements
  • Proactively implement strong diversity and inclusion components into all outreach, school selection and communications
  • Use data and metrics to develop relationships across multiple teams and influence management on hiring decisions
  • Partner with HR and legal as needed to drive the offer and onboarding process
  • Be knowledgeable about our business and be on point for HR related questions (i.e. benefits, comp, etc.)
  • Work to improve upon existing programs and develop innovative strategies around finding our future team
  • Ensure a smooth recruitment process for all hiring managers by providing excellent customer experience
  • Ensure a smooth and equitable recruitment process for all candidates

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in university recruiting or full life-cycle technical recruiting/sourcing at a tech company or at a technology-focused search firm (for tech company clients)
  • Experience building and managing programs
  • Experience using key recruiting metrics and data to influence internal customers
  • Greenhouse ATS experience highly preferred
  • Dedication to constantly improving candidate experience, hiring processes, and yourself
  • Time management and prioritization skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with hiring managers at all levels
  • Experience with external vendors is a plus
  • Strong ability in using Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides, in particular)
  • Ability to act as a consultant through the hiring process, immigration, compliance, compensation, leveling guidelines, etc.
