SSSD has an opening for a Material Process Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California
Essential Functions:
The Electrical Component Analysis (ECA) Labs needs an experienced Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for hands-on Electrical test on EEE Components in the Electrical Test Lab. The ECA Lab Engineer will be responsible for performing electrical lab tasks such as electrical test design and execution, visual inspections, component level destructive testing, and other electrical component level tests. The ECA Lab Engineer will communicate status & issues with all stakeholders (programs, functional, etc.) on a regular basis. Candidate should be familiar with interpreting EEE part Specs such as Military Standards such as Mil-Std-750, Mil-Std-883, Mil-Std-202. Experience with NGAS PIN specs is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to summarize and present data to customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM with 0 years of engineering experience
Lab and Electrical test Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
EEE component level Failure Analysis experience
Experience with Electrical Test Equipment and Procedures such as
Hipot Testing (Dielectric Withstand Voltage)
Megohmmeter (Insulation Resistance)
LCR Meter (Inductance, Capacitance, Dissipation Factor, ESR)
Curve Tracer (I-V Curve Characterization)
Semiconductor Testing (Breakdown & Threshold Voltage, Forward & Reverse Gate Current, Drain Current, On-state Resistance)
FPGA & PROM Programming
Salary Range: 74200 - 111400
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
