- This is not the managerial role or handling and managerial activities.
- They need 6-8 years of total experience
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated individual who can work with large quantities of data (internal and external) by using SQL, or other data and statistical tools as well as data visualization tools such as Spotfire and Tableau
- Knowledge of forecast modeling and predictive analytics techniques and how they apply to a business problem
- Experience integrating, analyzing and mining data with SQL, , and/or other database systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Build out a predictive resource forecast model based on operational and business data, with interactive functionalities which utilizes user's inputs to create scenario-based assessments
- Work with users to identify and document the drivers and algorithms which will support the predictive resourcing model
- Identify key metrics and build exec-facing dashboards to track progress of the business and its highest priority initiatives
- Provides reliable and accurate analyses and reports to internal customers to support decision making on key strategies
- Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decisions
- Client new opportunities to grow and optimize the business through analytics, forecast modeling, and business case development
- Lead and/or participate in core process optimization programs related to the relevant functions and participate in cross departmental process improvement initiatives based on performance assessment metrics.
- Help support Business Ops functional strategy and tactics that enable Gilead to compete more effectively in the clinical trial arena
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends related to site contracting, clinical pricing, outsourcing, vendor management, finance & payments, and determine implications to Clinical Operations ongoing clinical trial portfolio
- Designs and implements repeatable processes of analysis that leverage previous investments in systems or data structures
- Collaborates with various business functions (primarily Development Business Operations) to analyze operational requirements for reports, document system enhancements and implement system changes
- Independently take on and collaborate in special projects supporting Development Business Operations functions such as site contracts, finance & outsourcing management systems development with internal and external stakeholders
- Working knowledge in executing an analytics / business intelligence roadmap within pharma/biotech R&D. Direct experience in development operations shared services such as site contracts, clinical pricing, vendor outsourcing, vendor management, clinical finance, clinical payment, clinical operations, biometrics, PVE, or regulatory affairs highly desirable
- Working knowledge of drug development cycle and/or regulatory impacts (ICH GCP, GDPR, etc.) desirable
- Knowledge of external pharmaceutical benchmarking data sources a plus.
