The Vice President and General Manager, Americas (AMR GM) reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, is responsible for the development and execution of the regional Americas' (AMR) commercial strategy, in line with the company's global commercial strategy, as well as the direct management of AMR Regional Marketing, Sales, Service and Support: including all aspects of the sales channel, commercial operations, channel partners, regional event and digital marketing, lead generation, field applications, and field service engineers. The AMR GM will provide the leadership and management necessary to ensure alignment of cross-functional groups to meet the region's goals in support of the Company's broader strategic commercial objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership:
- Deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the region
- Develop staff members, using on-the-job coaching and formal training
- Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the regional commercial organization
- Optimize use of commercial team member resources and their use of sales tools
Sales:
- Meet quarterly and annual regional revenue targets
- Oversee the execution of the regional forecasting and opportunity funnel management process to meet best in class metrics and company objectives
- Expand and optimize the regional coverage model of the company's salesforce
- Optimize the sales strategy across key market segments to maximize growth of differentiated applications, including those within clinical and regulated end markets
- Lead and execute business planning assumptions and a quarterly sales process with consistency and accuracy with cross functional and regional alignment
- Drive a culture of customer intimacy and operational excellence
- Develop and align on key performance indicators as to the health of the broader commercial channel and installed base to measure and manage the business
- Devise and execute a strategy for deeper penetration in previously unaddressed geographies, including key personnel, infrastructure, and logistics
Marketing:
- Devise and execute the optimal regional marketing organizational structure to execute against the company's near and long-term product portfolio and growth strategy
- Oversee the development of the regional marketing strategy and end to end marketing processes from feedback of regional product needs and voice of customer, to go to market execution, lead generation, sales enablement, and support
- Oversee the identification and develop key regional market segments for new growth opportunities
- Oversee the identification and execution of key regional events and digital campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation
- Reflect key regional pricing needs and strategies
Service & Support:
- Align and scale customer service and support, including field application specialists and field engineers commensurate with regional sales territory expansion and growth
- Drive a culture of customer intimacy and operational excellence where customers become company advocates on the back of their experience
- Engage field application specialists in pre and post sales activities to drive additional growth and instrument utilization
