job summary:

Our client is seeking to hire a Developer, Applications in Modesto, Dublin OR will consider Remote work.

The position assists in the definition, design, development, improvement and documentation of software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project by projects basis in collaboration with business analysts and other business partners. The position works independently and on more complex tasks to accomplish the strategic business objectives of the Information Technology Development team.

responsibilities:

Responsibilites

• Serves as a key contributor applying computer system analysis, design, develop, test, and implement integrated software solutions to meet business needs
• Determine the capabilities and feature functions of new and installed packaged software
• Test all programs implemented, using automated tests wherever possible
• Use best practices for versioning and source control
• Follow the change control process, and implements solutions (go live) without unscheduled disruptions to existing operations
• Partner with IT Application Teams to improve business and IT tools and processes that offer improved efficiencies to the business
• Ensure data and system security is maintained while interacting with third parties
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support with minimal assistance
• Writes applications that are legible, secure, maintainable, and well tested
• Experience in multiple software development languages
• strong knowledge and experience with SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, or MariaDB)
• Experience in developing and implementing systems interfaces, leveraging techniques such as SFTP, ESB, API integrations
• Experience working with source control in a multi-contributor environment (Git, Mercurial, SVN, etc.), including understanding how to effectively utilize established workflows
• Excellent analytical, planning and organization/time management skills
• Good communication skills - written, verbal, interpersonal, and collaborative
• Experience required in a multi-discipline project and troubleshooting environment
• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience

Note: Some travel is required.
