Job description

Sierra Health and Wellness Centers has an immediate opening for a Help Desk Technician in our Monterey/Concord locations. The Help Desk Technician will support the IT department and work as part of a team to provide onsite and remote technical support to a wide range of end-users based in various locations throughout company. The qualified candidate for this role will exhibit strong customer service ethics, possess an array of technical knowledge and aptitude, understand the importance of asset management procedures following strict security protocols, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries directed to the IT department from telephone, email, or in-person
  • Process incoming help desk request tickets
  • Coordinate with IT specialist to schedule installation and implementation projects for hardware, software, and network-accessible resources
  • Work with IT specialist and other department members to schedule upgrades and replacements for individual faculty and staff computer equipment
  • Utilize a ticketing system to respond to requests and incidents and provide thorough documentation for work performed
  • Maintain physical asset management records and inventory
  • Help Desk Technicians follow and adhere to all security related policies as it pertains to IT support, asset management procedures, and other areas
  • Troubleshoot moderate hardware/software issues
  • Process warranty device claims for break/fix devices
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Reports to IT Specialist
  • Adaptability to new tasks

Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma/Ged
  • 1-2+ years of technical support experience preferred
  • Hardware/software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for workstations including PC, Mac, Tablets, Printers, and other devices is required
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems required
  • Important to note all employees must:
  • Intervene when clients indicate an intention to discharge ASA. & Improve client retention in a material and measurable way if the situation arrives at any given time.
