Our core offering is a subscription service that delivers hands-on projects to kids of all ages. We also have an online store and a content hub for families. We take great pride and ownership in the products and experiences we design and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we are working remotely. As guidelines permit, we will move to our plan of hybrid, remote/in-office work.
Role and Responsibilities:
As the Recruiting Manager at KiwiCo, you will work closely with the People Operations team and hiring managers to ensure a positive interview experience for all candidates. You are skilled at prioritizing and executing equitable recruiting strategies including sourcing for diverse talent, promoting KiwiCo's brand, managing the candidate experience, and management of internal processes/practices. You will be responsible for driving recruiting practices and strategies to hire awesome folks to the team!
- Develop and refine KiwiCo's talent acquisition strategy and develop key metrics to deliver against it
- Manage full cycle recruiting for various roles; source, screen and close candidates for roles at all levels
- Lead and develop a recruiting team; building a collaborative, inclusive, team-oriented environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; coaching for success and improvement
- Proactively assess, refine and implement equitable recruiting programs and practices that will enable KiwiCo to scale and meet the diverse talent needs of the organization.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, senior leaders and hiring managers/teams.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to help grow our employer brand to attract and retain high performing diverse talent to the organization.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to effectively gather specific criteria for each role, develop in-depth sourcing strategies, leverage multiple resources for candidate outreach, track all candidates in ATS, and share information with the business that leads to an effective hiring process
- Identify passive leads from a variety of creative sourcing methods; tap into industry and diversity-driven events and conferences; utilize job boards where appropriate; solicit employee referrals
- Track metrics to demonstrate successful lead generation (i.e. time-in-stage, pass-through rates, diversity slates, offers/hires, etc.)
- Demonstrate ability to integrate strategic improvements that drive recruiting effectiveness and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant recruiting experience.
- 3 years of experience recruiting at an agency or in house
- Experience working with recruiting tools and systems, including resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and spreadsheets.
- Experience with compiling, analyzing, and capturing insights from data to support organizational decisions.
- A passion for recruiting and an understanding of how to attract and hire talent in a competitive market through a variety of strategies and creative programs, including those focused on engaging and retaining diverse talent pools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and experience at managing hiring manager expectations.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project and program management.
- Experience working with various recruiting tools and systems (i.e. ATS, job boards, job fairs, social media and the internet).
