TRU's client, a global, high-growth leader in lifecycle management and data governance, is seeking a Vice President, Engineering to take the organization public. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the global team of software engineers. They will liaise across product teams, sales, marketing, and more to define product strategy and a roadmap. The Vice President should have extensive experience managing global teams of over 100 engineers and the ability to motivate across various cultures. In addition, this global leader must have a proven ability to manage multiple product lines simultaneously and experience running these products and infrastructure at scale on a public cloud; candidates with experience moving data centers to a public cloud are preferred. This role is the owner of the rebuild and refresh of current service offerings and must come with experience interfacing with global enterprise customers; with millions of users and tens of millions of transactions taking place in congruence, the need to possess flexible and agile leadership is imperative. As a VP of Software Engineering, will lead a global team of talented engineers who are dedicated to building out a secure, scalable, and robust cloud data protection platform. As our customer base continues to grow our product offerings need to scale and become robust. This is a true leadership position offering the opportunity to design and shape the product. Will be responsible for driving the development of product in a fast paced, start-up environment.

Position Description:

• Reports to the SVP of Engineering, will provide leadership and guidance to a software engineering team spread across Mountain View California, Poland, and India
• Hires and grows the team
• Provides technical leadership in defining the product
• Drives development processes to meet aggressive release schedules
• Works closely with our senior engineering management, product management, and executive team to define Product strategy and roadmap
  
  

Qualifications:

• Works on-site at HQ in Mountain View, California
• Several years overall work experience, with at least a few years in management roles
• Proven ability to manage multiple product lines and meet aggressive release schedules
• Experience in 24x7 SaaS environments
• Experience running products / infrastructure at scale on public cloud (ideally GCP)
• Knowledge of file sharing solutions and/or storage systems is a plus
• Ability to innovate and optimize engineering process and standards
• Demonstrated success leading globally distributed development teams of over 100 people in a fast paced, startup environment
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining engineers
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• BS and/or MS in Computer Science or related discipline
