Job description
The litigation paralegal will be responsible for all aspects of support in patent litigation, including large, complex U.S. cases and a variety of Ex-US matters. Duties will include document management and organization (including maintaining case files and document collection/production database coding and organization), assisting in all aspects of discovery (including witness interviewing and electronic and paper document collection), trial preparation, trial support and case management as a member of the litigation team. The candidate must be willing to travel for a variety of projects. The candidate will need to be proficient in a variety of litigation management software and comfortable adapting as systems are updated. This position may also assist with other related duties in the Litigation and Patent departments as needed.
The ideal candidate will have extensive discovery and trial experience with complex US Litigation, including experience analyzing case documents for various projects. Experience with patent litigation would be ideal.
Basic QualificationsMasters degree
OR
Bachelors degree and 2 years of Litigation experience
OR
Associate degree and 6 years of Litigation experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Litigation experience experience
Preferred QualificationsAA or BA and/or completion of an ABA-approved legal assistant/paralegal program and 6-10 years of complex litigation experience in a paralegal role, preferably at a mid to large size law firm.
