TheSr.Manager Supply Chain willbe responsible fordevice supplier(s)andaccountable for thedevice production/delivery, project timelines,deliverablesprioritization,supplier strategyand setting supplier/Amgen goals annually.Staff willlead a cross-functionalSupplierRelationshipEngagement(SRE)teamto ensure delivery ofclinical and commercialsupply,supportdevice launches,anddeliver supplierprojectsaligned to Amgens goals. The role requiresnetworking acrosskey Operations functions,FPT, Quality, Supply Chain,GSS, Finance,andCommercialto ensure all aspects of the deviceand supplier are carefully considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively manageand maintain excellentrelationship andcommunication with supplier and internal partners.

  • Identify, establishand monitor key performance measures that will ensure supply andquality of our combination products.

  • Ensure supplier sites are monitored and corrective actions are implemented in a timely fashion.

  • Identify strategic objectivesutilizing theSREframework andpartnering with the Executive Sponsorto drive shared strategic goals

  • Analyze, consolidate, and report demand and supply plans at the component / supplier level and provide supplier forecasts

  • Analyze company raw material inventory plans including inventory levels, scrap, inventory purchases, category spend and consumption and determine areas for improvement

  • Leverage and utilize Operational Excellence tools and resources to institutionalize continuous improvement mindset

  • Identifyissues, escalate appropriately and work closely withkeyexecutiveson resolution

  • Facilitate Operational and Executive reviews

  • Identify critical device subcomponents and understand the subcomponent supply chainto actively manage and mitigate risks

  • Develop and implement short and long range supply riskmitigationstrategies (technical, supply, innovation, etc.)

  • Drive Continuous Improvement effortsbetweensupply chains (I.e. Lead time reduction, flexibility, supplier responsiveness, forecast accuracy, on time delivery, etc.)

Domestic and International travel up to 20%

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of experienceOR
  • Masters degree and 4 years of experienceOR
  • Bachelors degree and 6 years of experienceOR
  • Associates degree and 10 years of experienceOR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry including leadership roles (e.g. team or cross functional roles) in key Operations functions

  • Strongleadership skills (cross functional team leadership, executive presence)

  • Project managementleading thedevelopment, approval milestone management and executive communications

  • Experience managing external suppliers

  • Device and/or combination product development, supply chain or manufacturing experience

  • GMP knowledge and background

  • Diverse assignmentsin Operations orsupportingfunctions (Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, etc.)

  • Supplier negotiations and contract review experience
