General Summary:
This position is responsible for embedding a world class digital product development, and engineering culture in the IT Innovation department. This role will work with technology teams and the business and product teams to deliver a best-in-class integrated end to end digital platform across HCA in a product centric IT organization. This role will focus on building a high-performing team that will lead in a fast-paced continuous delivery engineering environment.
The emphasis of the role is managing the Innovation and technology teams (internal/external partners) to efficiently and effectively deliver digital software solutions (e.g. Digital channels/Automation/RPA/Web/ML/AI/Mobile). Functions to be managed include agile delivery, digital software architecture, digital software development testing and digital (web/automation) support team. This role will partner primarily with Digital Strategy Product Management to deliver frictionless experience for customers and colleagues, and to partner with other IT leaders to simple, modern, scalable technology enabling insight and personalization. This role will work very closely with other technology teams including IT Solutions, Information Security, Infrastructure, ARB, Data Management and Analytic.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical expert and provide insights & direction in the areas of digital infrastructure. Ongoing assessment of existing and emerging internal and external technologies and if/how they can be leveraged to improve capabilities. Identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to introduce automation into manual business and technical processes.
- Coordination of development teams efforts toward planned goals and milestones as set forth with stakeholders and according to internal change management standards. Providing a high level of customer service by delivering functionality according to our SLAs and responding to customer requests in a timely manner. Maintaining open communication with functional and technical partners to ensure goal alignment, consistent expectations and efficient pipeline development.
- Manage front-end and back-end systems and software integrations. Own key relationships with and actively manage 3rd party partners such as development vendors and agencies to create an end-to-end digital platform including the implementation of ERP, CRM, testing, analytics, data warehouse, analytics, reporting, and targeting.
- Own Innovation Lab to identify and test innovations and latest trends with the goals of improving customer experience, reducing OPEX, and driving revenue growth. Design, implement and drive change management processes from concept, requirements, design, development, testing, approval, launch, support, and training.

- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or general cloud architecture best practices
- Working knowledge of software development and programming languages
- Computer Science & Management Information Systems background
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously with close attention to detail and process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach and results orientation
- Adapts easily to changing situations and demonstrates flexibility in juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of digital experience (mobile, web, automation, RPA, AI/ML, other tools)
- Minimum 10+ years' experience in a direct management leading large teams required, including managing managers, external vendors)
- 10+ years of related experience, including deep experience within technology vendors and program management.
- Significant experience optimizing organizations for performance including a focus on efficiency & effectiveness
- Experience in a matrix management structure partnering with product development teams
- Significant online technology delivery, ideally with a focus on financial services or similar B2B or B2B2C
- Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies & SDLC best practices
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or equivalent
- MBA a plus
Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
