Position Description:

Candidate will work as part of the technology team to build software that solves real problems for our portfolio, client and analytics teams, with the goal of putting working software or data analysis into production for our end users. Candidate will work closely with quantitative research team and multiple technology teams based on the requirements. These projects will leverage elements of our internal software development frameworks, open source technologies, machine learning, agile SDLC, big data, and traditional databases. Initial focus for the candidate would be to build out python based dashboards for our portfolio managers to visualize/analyze data.

Position Requirements:

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. A higher degree in Computer Science or engineering is desirable.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience from an Investment Management environment (ideally trading systems)
  • Strong OOP skills with hands on experience in Python required
  • Intermediate SQL/Database Query experience required
  • Strong analytical ability to learn independently from the code / reverse engineer
  • Ability to work well independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing web based applications for data visualization
  • Knowledge of Html, CSS is a plus
  • Exposure to finance (degree/CFA/work experience) is a plus
