Job description
TOGETHER, WE SAVE LIVESOVERVIEWThis position concepts, designs and produces graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, packaging and other materials through a variety of media outlets. It also includes a focus on front-end web development, that of translating designs into something that will work on a web platform. This includes the typical requirements for web design such as HTML and CSS currently and also will include JavaScript. This position will oversee how these requirements interface with the back-end of the web.RESPONSIBILITIESCreates site layout/user interface from provided design concepts (or may design) by using standard HTML/CSS practicesMaintains a strong focus on front-end design and modern web practices to create an efficient user-experiencePlacement and layout of website pages given client provided contentMakes sure the design interface aligns with the brand's look, feel and identity and interacts with web clients, back-end developers and third party vendorsStays abreast of the new front-end web development technologies; integrates web sites to further enhance the usability and efficiency of the sites as necessaryPossesses a good understanding of cross-browser issues and debugging.Develops concepts and layouts for projects including but not limited to logos, product branding, corporate reports and collateral, brochures, and other digital applications.Works with project sponsor and stakeholders to define scope, goals, success criteria, deliverables, required resources and timing.Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design of solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completionDesigns art and copy layouts for material to be presentedDevelops materials manually or utilizes graphic software to design and produced finished productPlans content, graphic aspects and presentation of materialBuilds, develops and grows business relationships vital to the success of the projects.QUALIFICATIONSFour (4) to seven (7) years experience in Marketing, Graphic Design or Business ManagementBachelors degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media or related fieldWorks well with internal and external clientsAbility to work calmly under pressurePrior knowledge of web-based scheduling appsKnowledge of HTML and CSSAbility to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.Effective communication - listens and explains wellSolid understanding of user-center design principles to address complex design problemsStrong knowledge and great execution of graphic design principles; layout, composition, color theory and typographySkilled in brainstorming, sketching and mocking up ideas#LI-KJMThe Safariland Group believes in the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative actions.
