Company prefers this to be contract-to-hire, but direct-hire candidates will be considered.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Implement and streamline processes on an ongoing basis to increase productivity
- Regularly report status to upper management on assigned projects and tasks
- Regularly coach and mentor employees to advance their skills
- Assign work to employees and manage level of performance that will meet management expectations
- Proactively identify areas that can be automated to increase levels of efficiency
- Prevent and eliminate single points of failure through regular cross training and documentation
- Facilitate high level of inter/ intra team communication / coordination
- Escalate issues, concerns or blocks as appropriate for resolution
- Hold team accountable for commitments every Sprint and ensure retrospectives are performed to mitigate future gaps
- Proactively facilitate higher velocity and quality on an ongoing basis
- Serve as the back-up Scrum Master for all Enterprise activities and follow the Agile Methodology accordingly
- Ensure work items in TFS are organized and follow a consistent naming convention
- Ensure Service Desk tickets are completed within published service level agreements
- Ensure coding standards are followed and Peer Reviews are performed before new development is released to Production
- Develop team and employee goals in alignment IT objectives and larger organizational business objectives
- Take action that resolve conflicts in a fair and even-handed manner that results in resolution that is best for the organization
- Manage and mitigate risks, help establish sound process, track and report activities, set appropriate expectations with internal partners, and train personnel to provide consistent, sustainable support
- Ensure adequate coverage during employee absences to ensure support for business emergencies
- Drive an enterprise view for solutions and problem solving
- Manage multiple competing project priorities including support of Support Division initiatives
- Delegate assignments to employees (when appropriate) to maintain strategic focus while providing a sustainable level of service and efficiency.
- Embody, drive and consistently reinforce professional behaviors that align with established company core values.
- Facilitate orientation and training of new team members
- Audit team members time entries in TFS on a weekly basis to ensure timely entries and correct project IDs are assigned for accurate financial reporting
- Draft and email regular updates to internal customers using the required communication templates.
- Maintain inventory of Enterprise Services functions and activities to include "how to" instructions and names of back-ups.
Business Analysis Lead Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on planning, gathering, documentation and maintenance of business requirements, including work flow analysis and process engineering
- Maintain a detailed understanding of business process purposes, dependencies and related systems
- As part of project initiation, document business "As-Is" process and ensure team has a detailed understanding
- Determine and execute the appropriate elicitation methods to research, define and document business processes
- Write clear, concise, consistent User Stories which accurately decompose high-level concepts and requirements into detailed, workable deliverables
- Provide detailed clarification of business requirements to developers, quality assurance engineers, vendors, etc. throughout project and/or development cycle
- Facilitate meetings with business to understand business processes and requirements. Ensure business remains focused on business needs rather than the solution.
- Drive full understanding of business needs before allowing the team to determine a solution
- Collaborate on the development of user acceptance test documentation and support their execution to ensure that requirements and quality objectives are satisfied for product owners
- Regularly update user instruction guides and publish in shared IT location
- Ensure meetings maintained focused on the topic at hand and prevent derailment
- Create clean and concise documentation that easily understandable for consumers at all levels
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must have proven experience with managing software development groups and projects
- 5+ years of experience working in an IT leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Product Backlogs, Sprint Backlogs) and TFS to manage Sprint Cycles (usage and reporting).
- Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visual Studio (or similar tools)
- Proficient with the Office Suite Access, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using a ticketing system such as Footprints
- Must demonstrate expertise with a variety of SDLC concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of the Waterfall Methodology

- Health Insurance experience a plus
- Business Analyst and/or Scrum certifications are a plus
- Bachelors Degree or higher is preferred.
