PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a Vice President, Business Development - Healthcare who will be instrumental in growing market revenue through new business opportunities within the Healthcare industry. They are a master at identifying and developing new target clients and closing business. They are a strong communicator and establish exceptional client relationships with key decision-makers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Identifies and prioritizes new business revenue opportunities and develops a strategy for closing new business accounts
- Entrepreneurial, highly self-motivated and driven to achieve a comprehensive set of performance metrics and quantitative measures
- Strategist, thought leader and trusted business partner to the Account/Client
- Develops and manages relationships with key referral partners

- Engages in prospecting activities including participation in networking groups and professional organizations, direct email and phone outreach, and cross-selling existing relationships.
- Leverages RGP Consultant and employee networks into new relationships.
- Partners with subject matter experts and Client Development Directors throughout the sales process to shorten the sales cycle and effectively increase new business wins.
- Partners with subject matter experts and Client Development Directors on pitch material, proposals, meeting agendas and follow-up.
- Utilizes Salesforce to track and report activities and pipeline.
- Participates in the team's "Net New" initiatives, such as market visibility events and related internal projects.
- Fully understands RGP's multi-disciplinary product line including Accounting/Finance, Information Management, Supply Chain, Human Capital, and Legal.
- Utilizes existing sales and marketing collateral to prepare for new business presentations.
- Manages a pipeline and adjusts daily activity to meet forecasted target numbers.
- Attends regular sales and staff meetings.
- Assists with successful project launch including attending project kick-off meetings and keeping in touch with clients to ensure satisfactory product delivery.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited institution and proven business development experience with Fortune 500 or Fortune 1000 (global) organizations
- 7+ years of B2B sales/business development experience, preferably selling into senior director or executive level at mid-large sized companies
- Experience in client relationship management, identifying opportunities with clients, networking and generating leads, specifically within the Healthcare industry
- Experience with a consultative sales method and selling professional services
- Experience with a consultative sales method and selling professional services
- Ability to negotiate and concisely communicate both in writing and verbally, complex concepts/business issues to clients, Consultants and management
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects and develop business relationships
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of findings and recommendations
- Strong network in the local market and ability to generate lasting business relationships
