About the Job

The Business Analyst plays a key role in the PARC Refinery, which works to validate and advance new business opportunities, ultimately delivering investment recommendations and executable plans to accelerate the next generation of Xerox's new businesses. The Refinery works as a cross-functional team of UX researchers, product/business designers, technologists, and business analysts. The role of the Business Analyst is focused on analyzing data, engaging customers, and developing a business case analysis to support the team's recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze market, customer, competitor, and product data to inform product/service design as well as business cases
• Develop financial models to support the business case
• Assess different business model options, using quantitative as well as qualitative methods
• Collaborate closely with designers, user researchers and business strategists to inform deliverables for the business case

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline, complemented with experience in business strategy/administration
• Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills, with knowledge of different types of valuation and modeling methodologies for technology and R&D investment decisions, and when and how to use them depending on the business model and market situation
• Experience with market sizing, customer segmentation and competitive analysis, especially in a technology context
• Strong oral and visual communication skills with ability to move seamlessly between conversing with customers, engineers and internal and external stakeholders; prior experience with customer discovery is a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset; thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, and independently capable of seeking information, corralling resources, and delivering results without waiting for direction
• High-energy and positive team player; strong experience in cross-functional collaboration
• Prior experience at a high-growth technology company or start-up is a plus
