Job description

Will consider candidates who are already authorized to work in the U.S.A and only need an H1B transfer. The salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 is for candidates that have an active CPA license. If the candidate has not passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam, the salary will be hourly with a range of $30-$35 per hour plus overtime of 1 1/2 times the hourly rate. Typically we see 200-300 of overtime hours during the year.
Established CPA and consulting firm looking for an experienced, sharp-minded and personable tax senior to join our team in Pasadena. Our clients include partnerships, individuals, trusts and small to large size businesses with needs for comprehensive services such as consulting, accounting and tax compliance. We are looking for someone who is willing to provide outstanding services for our clients. The ideal candidate must be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, organized and have superior communication skills.

Duties

Review federal and multi-state income tax returns for partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trust and individuals and related income tax workpapers
Prepare more complex client work and delegate entry level work to staff accountants
Prioritize to meet expectations in a deadline driven, fast paced environment
Provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, and responsiveness
Identify tax issues and propose strategies to resolve them
Train and mentor new and present staff by creating an encouraging work environment that promotes open communication among all group members
Participate in recruiting and other business development initiativesRequirements
Minimum of 3 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Previous experience in a public accounting firm
CPA or eligible to take CPA Exam
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and take initiatives on projects
Exceptional project and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
Master's degree in Tax a plus
Proficiency in ProSystem, Lacerte, CCH, BNA, QuickBooks and Microsoft
