As the Senior Manager of Operations Financial Planning and Analysis (OFP&A), you will assist with developing and monitoring the strategic plan, as well as create data-directed solutions to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase revenue. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead the Tactical Finance Team to develop and implement central support for vertical market OFP&A, including evaluating potential return on invested capital for proposed projects and converting pricing models to operational forecasts/targets/budgets
- Work creatively with vertical market OFP&A Directors to continuously improve forecasting, standard deliverables, month-end close and data acquisition
- Implement financial planning software (ePBCS) to attain profitability targets at various levels; act as a super user responsible for ongoing process improvement, documentation and training
- Utilize metrics to ensure the success of initiatives related to operational performance, price, automation savings, other cost savings, predictability and forecast accuracy
- Design and deliver standard reporting to support executive management; use a variety of software, including Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle ERP and Oracle ePBCS
- Partner with HR, Account Management and Operations to track metrics related to KPI targets, labor expense and utilization, and operating margin
- Evaluate the work content of operational processes (e.g., work center labor standards) and compare against original assumptions
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of experience in a financial environment role, including management experience
- Experience with large databases and the ability to utilize data from various BI systems
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle), HFM, financial planning software (ePBCS), Microsoft BI and related technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access)
It would be great if you also have:
- MBA
- CPA, CMA, CFA or applicable professional designation
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma management concepts and/or certifications
- Experience as a controller in a supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or service organization
- Demonstrated experience building and leading a high-performing team
- Solid ability to handle multiple projects and time demands with a high level of urgency, personal integrity, energy and stamina
- Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
