Own Brands Business Analyst POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Business Analyst will work with the client and be responsible for driving their Private Label sales through superior marketing and loyalty strategies, plans and executions. This role is responsible for generating sales-driven solutions, drive customer acquisitions, and improve market share to reach the client's entire Private Label sales penetration goal and profitability. The Project Specialist collaborates with the client's Loyalty team, Sales team, Category team, Operations/ Sourcing team, and third-party vendors. This person will demonstrate ownership over all key accountabilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 70% - Deliver sales objectives for the client's private label portfolio in assigned categories • Drive sales and penetration growth in all divisions. • Help deliver pricing, promotion, & display recommendations for all assigned categories. • Assist in the development, communication, and management of Own Brands Hot Deal promotions. • Leverage all internal data sources, including Shopper 360, Teradata, OBIEE, GOLD, IRI, and syndicated data sources to develop robust data-based recommendations & post promotional analysis presentations. • Provide clear direction to internal Operations team for all promotional funding form setup requests. • Prepare and implement promotional funding files utilizing internal data sources • Compile, organize, & present all new item acceptance reporting for monthly leadership reviews. • Improve distribution of new & existing items by resolving distribution voids. • Respond to and resolve ad-hoc division requests, be solution oriented and take ownership of resolution. • Work with Sr. Sales Manager & Directors on co-development of the client's Private Label divisional joint business plans. Work to execute that plan throughout the year with the divisions and track execution. • Additional duties as assigned. 30% - Be a key liaison for the client's internal private label teams with all divisions & cross functional teams (product management, sourcing, finance and operations) • Develop and maintain relationships with key members of internal teams & divisions. • Work with internal teams to understand their needs and objectives in all divisions, and lead accomplishment of those objectives in those divisions. • Maintain a thorough understanding of the category roles and objectives and help develop the strategic category plan for how the client's private label brands aligns with each divisions strategy. • Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Specialist: • 4 year Bachelor Degree Required • 3+ years of previous category management and business development experience • 10% travel either locally and/or nationally may be required. Standard Qualifications: • Advanced research and analytical problem-solving skills. • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills. • Strong negotiation skills and a comfort level with negotiating with senior management. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Expert project management skills to be able to manage multiple divisions & vendors. • Self-motivated, and the ability to act with a sense of urgency and intensity.
