Job description

Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is looking for a Public Relations Analyst to join the Corporate Communications team at our Corporate Office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The Public Relations Analyst will assist with Company external and internal communications. Is responsible for writing, editing, and overseeing copy across digital and print channels for various campaigns and collateral initiatives. Will promote a positive public image and help control the dissemination of information on the company's behalf.Duties will include:Developing and supporting various communications programs in alignment with company prioritiesWriting, editing, and proofreading content for various types of materials that adapt to a variety of audiences and formatsOrganize initiatives, plan events, press conferences or other public affairs effortsLiaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.Collaborate with marketing professionals to produce copyWeekly monitoring of peer media and market trendsDeveloping high-level contacts and relationships in key government affairs, trade association(s), and/or capital markets to advance the Company's interestsAssist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadershipCoordinate with subject matter experts throughout the organization to ensure capabilities and value proposition are clearly and accurately articulated in responsesSuccessful candidates will have:Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in public relations, communications, Economics, History, Business, Marketing, Government, Education, or relevant field including:Strong copywriting, grammatical, and communication skillsCommunication and research skills to gather and synthesize information from multiple resourcesStrong team orientation, a dedicated work ethic, and a positive and professional attitude with a willingness to learnWillingness to give, receive, and implement feedback from leadership.Above average computer skills, including expertise with MS-Office applications, especially MS Excel and PowerPointExperience utilizing a Learning Management System (Ceridian platform) is a plusExperience with graphic design (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and video editing is a plusExcellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skillsProficient command of EnglishPortfolio of writing, video content, or graphic design samples requiredSunshine ActAmphastar reports payments and other transfers of value to health care providers as required by federal and state transparency laws and implementing regulations. These laws and regulations require Amphastar to provide government agencies with information such as a health care provider's name, address and the type of payments or other value received, generally for public disclosure. Subject to further legal review and statutory or regulatory clarification, which Amphastar intends to pursue, reimbursement of recruiting expenses for licensed physicians may constitute a reportable transfer of value under the federal transparency law commonly known as the Sunshine Act.
