Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Contract Administrator or a Senior Principal Contract Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will act as a team lead in performing contract execution tasks. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential Functions:

Leads proposal efforts for new procurements, which would entail RFP/RFQ
Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts
Knowledgeable of the FAR and DFARs, general knowledge of pre and post-award federal government contracting industry practices, techniques, and standards
Performs moderately complex contracts administration tasks, to include proposal preparation, the development of change orders and processing of inter-company work orders
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Contract Administrator level or a Senior Principal Contract Administrator level

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Contract Administrator:

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of Contract Administrator and/or business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 4 years of stated experience

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Contract Administrator:

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of Contract Administrator and/or business-related experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of stated experience

Preferred Qualifications:

An advanced degree in a relevant field (JD, MBA, etc.)
Current active US Secret government security clearance
Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
Experience with various types of agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements
Experience with various contract types including cost reimbursable, cost plus, fixed price, time and materials
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies and practices

Salary Range: 83600 - 125400
Salary Range 2: 103700 - 155500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
