Position Overview:
The Brand & Content group, part of Oportun's marketing team, is looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media to establish and lead our organic social media and influencer programs. This is a new role for a highly motivated, creative individual who has a passion for connecting with current and future customers. You are an expert at best practices for raising brand awareness and attracting, engaging, and retaining customers. You live to turn fans into customers and customers into advocates.
Responsibilities:
Design and launch a bilingual social media strategy that aligns with business goals
Establish a content calendar and key themes that sync with other marketing and PR efforts
Develop relevant, engaging, on-brand content-tailored to each product and platform-and publish on a regular cadence
Foster community as appropriate, using our brand voice in an authentic way, and partnering with our compliance and customer service teams
Collaborate with SEO team on keywords, content, and performance measurement
Set up and manage social media sentiment dashboard to share with executive leadership; update daily
Measure and analyze performance, establishing a baseline for ROI
Become an advocate for Oportun in social media spaces, engaging in dialgues and answering questions, as appropriate
Monitor trends in social media tools, fintech content, consumer behavior
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience developing consumer-focused content and campaigns across channels
Demonstrated track record of running engaging campaigns and the results to match
Excellent copywriting skills and a penchant for story telling
Well-organized, project management skills, including the ability to create a detailed plan and orchestrate the scheduling of multiple elements to come together on time and in budget
Current with the latest digital technologies, algorithms, and social media trends
Experience with brand guidelines, brand voice, messaging guildelines, and editorial style guides
Familiarity with translation and bilingual publishing
BA, BS, or equivalent degree required
Fluency in Spanish a plus
Experience working for financial services, compliance-driven industry, or a multi-cultural company a plus
