  • CFO, you are an outsourced strategy and finance partner to new business owners within our SWS channel. Your primary role is to assist in establishing the financials and overall business structure with the launch of their practice. Once the practice is up and running, you will help advisors understand their new commission structure, monitor for anomalies, manage cashflow, help with the design of evolving compensation plans and equity transitions, and provide ongoing financial and strategic guidance as business owners acclimate to being independent from wirehouse channels. Helping them understand their financials and underlying business metrics. You will provide strategic direction and data driven decisions to help the business grow top line revenue, bottom line profits and increase their business valuation.

  • LPL Financial is seeking talented candidates with client facing experience and a strategic financial background to partner with our business owners on the Strategic Wealth Services (SWS) CFO Solutions team.
  • As a CFO, you are an outsourced strategy and finance partner to new business owners within our SWS advisor channel. Your primary role is to assist in establishing the financials and overall business structure with the launch of an advisor's practice. Once the practice is up and running, you will help advisors understand their new commission structure, monitor for anomalies, manage cashflow, help with the design of evolving compensation plans and equity transitions, and provide ongoing financial and strategic guidance as business owners acclimate to being independent from wirehouse channels.
  • The CFO Solutions program at LPL acts as Chief Financial Officers for financial advisors and small business owners. The program helps advisors understand their financials and business metrics to make strategic decisions to grow revenue, profits, and increase their business valuation

What will you do?


  • Provide credible and objective strategy and financial consulting support with analytical expertise in an effort to drive improved profitability, organic and inorganic net new asset growth, and ultimately enhanced satisfaction and retention of our advisors and institutions
  • Produce comprehensive financial analyses of advisor practices in order to help business owners better understand their value including profitability, cash flow, areas of opportunity, and the impacts of shifts in their business
  • Act as a trusted accountability partner by developing and helping to execute on business plans that take advantage of the areas of opportunity identified
  • Assist in the design, implementation and execution of the program
  • Partner with other groups to help facilitate M&A, provide capital and other services to growing businesses

What skills, experiences, and education are required?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
  • Demonstrated analytical and strategic business acumen along with hands-on mindset for problem resolution
  • Thorough understanding of financial statement analysis and cashflow planning
  • Basic knowledge of financial products, the industry, and end investor
  • Up to 25% travel anticipated
