Biotheranostics, a Hologic company, develops and provides molecular-based diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive tests that support physicians in the treatment of cancer patients.
Join our Clinical Lab team and play a part in providing clarity to patients with uncertain or unknown cancers, and information around individualized breast cancer care. You will get to work in a molecular lab and be involved in the early stages of automation.
Think this role is for you?
This person will perform all phases of clinical patient testing, using our highly complex genetic tests, as well as general laboratory processes, in a high complexity clinical molecular lab. They will assist in the troubleshooting of assay failures and instrument errors. Participate in activities required to support all necessary licensure for the clinical lab, including maintaining quality systems and supporting on-site inspections.
* Hiring for 1st shift, Tuesday - Saturday*
Key Outcomes:
* Set-up of molecular assays, data analysis, and reporting results to internal pathologists.
* Train CLS personnel and other staff on lab processes as needed.
* May be required to monitor the activities of non-licensed personnel, and assist in assay development activities.
* Like in any CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab, this person will have clerical and administrative functions, including documentation to maintain compliance with state, CLIA and CAP requirements.

* Solution-minded and has meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, data entry, and communication skills.
* Able to identify process improvement opportunities and not afraid to communicate them to laboratory management.
Additional qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in medical technology or biological science field required.
* Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or a Specialty Clinical Laboratory Scientist (with License from the State of California) required.
* Must meet the requirements for Testing Personnel under CLIA 88 (42 CFR, part 493)
* 1+ years of laboratory experience
* Experience in a high complexity CLIA/CAP environment strongly preferred.
* Experience in Molecular Biology, Molecular Pathology, and/or Medical Genetics preferred.
