Job Description

Luth Research is looking for an energetic business development associate to help drive our sales and grow the business. You will attract new clients and build solid relationships with them while maintaining existing relationships. Other duties will include identifying new business opportunities, developing business strategies such as impactful sales emails and pitches, managing, and updating the prospect and client database, and supporting the Account team with proposal generation. You will work with various departments and report to the VP, Sales.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized, and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to market our products. A background in sales or marketing is desirable but not required.

  1. Researching and identifying prospects using sales engagement platforms and LinkedIn to provide authentic quality leads to the AE team for drive revenue and profitability
  2. Support and coordinate in crafting personalized, targeted outreach messages to connect with potential qualified customers for maximizing leads
  3. Supporting AE for positive business relationships with clients to ensure future potential sales and referrals for maximizing opportunities to drive revenue and relationships
  4. Learn market research and sales tactics and continue to refine sales knowledge for driving revenue
  5. Collating and maintaining correct and up to date client information in the CRM database.
  6. Helping to analyze sales data to inform sales on prospects, interacting with sales team on messages that have traction.
  7. Assist with drafting proposals, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  8. Develop intense knowledge about the company's vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives
  9. Employ skills in helping clients solve their problems
  10. Any other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Other Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Accessibility: Must be able to access and function within areas key to productivity. Adequate manual dexterity to operate assigned and shared office equipment. Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Communications: Must speak clearly and fluently to communicate on a wide range of topics. Above average reading comprehension, and grammatically correct written communication skills. Must have the ability to understand and respond intelligently to business correspondence. Response to pressure should be calm and reasonable.
  • Technical: Must demonstrate a high proficiency in understanding and working with basic software and computer skills, to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with prospecting software a plus.
  • Judgment: Comprehension of job requirements and procedures. Can initiate and perform work assignments under minimal supervision that may be broad, varied, and complex in nature. Employee must have the ability to use educated and intuitive judgment to make decisions.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work in a shifting environment with ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
  • Organization: Organizational and time management skills sufficient to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
  • Logic: Deductive reasoning skills that can be used to develop sales skills and grow in the position. Employee must apply experience, skills and information to identify problems and plan strategic resolutions[JK1] .

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Skills

Education:
  • Four year college degree OR
  • High school Diploma with work related experience.

  • Aggressive and disciplined in finding lists and ways to reach contacts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
